Back in October of 1957, there was talk of the haunted casino not far from my home, and one night a bunch of us were talking about it, and the older kids said why don’t we go see if it’s true! So we planned it for the next night, and we all agreed that we would go inside the Casino no matter what!
So we met up the next evening and we brought flashlights, and went up to the Casino that was about 12 blocks away, hoping to find any signs of ghosts! The casino was closed and abandoned for a long time as we understood it. We found out it was a gambling hall back in the 1930’s or the roaring 20’s.
The thing was we had to crawl down into the cellar window on the side of the building, as we made our way down to the floor from the window, it was dark and spooky, dusty, and so creepy!! We began to look around thinking maybe we would find treasures, but no luck. We went across the room to a flight of stairs that led down these creepy stairs that had spike-like nails built into the wall and for a moment we were thinking of going all the way down, but we only got as far as a few steps, no one wanted to chance it!!
We never did get to see any ghosts and although, we wouldn’t admit it at the time we really didn’t want to!! So we searched around for about 45 minutes or so, then went out the way we came and leaving with spooky story memories to share over the years. We never went back again years later it was demolished, and now it’s a Mcdonalds.

Thanks! Nothing like a good haunt to chill the bones, add a good haunting show like “Hill House” and you’re all set! [Don’t watch it alone!] Thanks for posting! Boo! Happy Halloween!

That’s awesome, Bob, I didn’t know you did that. Like a real Stephen King novel set in the 1950’s. I actually did some ghost hunting about 12 yrs ago, I had a blog on it before blogs were even popular! Not sure how I can work it into my 50’s blog now, so I haven’t talked much about it in a while! Happy Halloween!

Thanks Dee, Yea it was fun to go on a haunt! Before I began this site, I did try a Halloween site, but only had it a couple of weeks, on the free plan at the time. Named bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! But I lost interest and didn’t know anything about how to build it. It was just an Idea, Then I began this site in 2013, and began building it up little by little. Dee, it’s cool that you did ghost haunting back then! I hope you can write a post about it, one day! Happy Halloween!
