If you’re visiting New York City this Thanksgiving holiday, if you havn’t already done so, try going to the Macy’s day Thanksgiving parade! It’s a blast and being there is so much different than watching it on tv.
I went three times over the years with the family and we had to wait about 3 hours for the parade to reach us it was amazing and worth the wait, and you hardly noticed the cold and bunched together with many other people with their kids feeling the same way but oh what fun it was!
It was like we were all one big happy family everyone was in a great holiday mood, I remember there was a Mother and her daughter who were trying to see the parade at the time we were about two rows in front and could see most of it as it passed in front of us, but it was hard to see for a little kid to view as she couldn’t see a thing, I told the woman let her stand in front of us and the girl got to see most of it and the Mother stood near by..
On the Macy’s Parade website you’ll find a bunch of information on the parade such as, The Parade Route, Line up info, News, how all the magic happens, you can even look at the parade over the years I viewed the one from the 1950s it was really cool! There’s a a studio tour, behind the scenes info, and much more!! Happy Holidays!

I watch every year on TV (never been to NY!) and I like going to their web site to see what balloons they’re going to have. So great to hear you enjoyed being there. Great post and Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
