Back in the 50s our favorite store was Woolworth’s 5 and 10 cent stores! There was 3 in our city one just a few blocks from our homes.. We would go and buy those great water pistols for 10 cents and other toys not more than 25 cents.

And the one pictured here is from the 1940’s I used to go there a lot as a kid their lunch counter was great.. My Mother worked there during the war and my older Sisters worked there in the 50’s and they met the Men they married not long after. Wonderful Memories!
