Back in 1959 I remember my mother telling me, Bobby they’re opening a new store soon called “Two Guys from Harrison” about 9 blocks away from our home. It’ll have 2 floors selling clothing, housewares, appliances, refrigerators, air conditioners, Tv’s, and other electrics, and 45 and LP records albums, and a big shoe department, they also sold sports equipment I remember going with my friend to get the Beatles 2nd Album in the 1960s.
In 1957 Two Guys opened in South Whitehall P.A., it was the first major store on 7th and pike street, it was built on a 94 – Acres with parking for 4,000 cars! The company was sold in 1980 and then liquidated.
Later on they added a food court and years later they began to sell grocery but it didn”t do well in my area, and they closed that department down. It became the place to go to besides Sears department store about 10 blocks from our home as well. I brought a Christmas tree there in 1970 and carried it home with the help of my Sister. This video is from the 1970’s.

Great post, love the pic with the old cars parked outside! I’ve never heard of Two Guys but probably because I grew up on the West Coast. But I do remember a toy store in Southern Mass. that my Grandma used to take us kids to called Child World. It closed in the 90’s. Great memories!
