I was thinking back to the days when watching tv was a family thing where we all watched TV pretty much togehter, and the programs we watched as kids were whatever your parents watched!
The kids had thier own shows that were mostly on saturday or sometimes on a sunday like cartoons, and others. And they did have in the early days of the 1960’s shows like the “Soupy Sales” show that was on after school hours about 4pm or so from “1953 to “1966”
wonderrama” was a fun show that was very popular at the time of the 1960s starring Sony Fox and the teens still were rocking to American Bandstand!
Other than the shows the kids and teens tuned into, we all watched the programs the parents watched no questions asked! That was understood and we never complained about it anyway, because it’s the way we were brought up back then and Im sure there were plenty of familys who did the same thing.
Great post, Bob! So true, everyone watched the same thing in a household back then and everyone seemed happy about it. Almost hard to imagine now, lol. Those were the days! 🙂
