Any kid growing up in the 1950’s knows about the great horror films at the time! It seems there was always a new one out playing and we used to go the Saturday matinée and view 2 movies and cartoons for .25 cents!

The movie theater’s would have horror shows once or twice a year and show 2 horror movies then turn down the lights and on the screen there would be lighting and loud scary music.

Then they would have people in costumes come out and scare the kids! But they stopped the shows after a while because the parents said their kids were having nightmares! But it was a lot of fun.,The Day the Earth Stood Still was my favorite horror film.
